Are you looking for support with your bipolar disorder?

About Newcastle Bipolar Group
We are a small peer-led support group in Newcastle upon Tyne hosting monthly meetings for anyone affected by bipolar disorder, this could be you, a family member, a friend or a colleague.
We believe that engaging with others who have first-hand experience of bipolar, offers valuable insights that professional treatment alone may not provide. Sharing the weight of your condition with others can make it feel lighter.
Peer-led Support

Explaining the energy of hypomania, or the weight of depression to someone who has never felt it, can be difficult. In a peer support setting, that explanation is often unnecessary, you are simply understood.
Safe Meeting Space
Our 'safe space' is designed to offer a secure physical and emotional setting, enabling individuals to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without concern for judgment, disempowerment, or discrimination.
Listening and Sharing
There is no right or wrong approach to participate in our meetings. While some individuals are inclined to share, others may choose to listen; both forms of engagement can provide beneficial experiences. Everyone's presence is valued.
Our Meetings
One of the most practical benefits of attending our monthly meetings is the wealth of collective wisdom in the room. Attendees hear real life strategies from people who are walking a similar path.
